Post CYOA: Unknown Forest [Finished. You beat the final boss]
You are a young boy, and today is the day of yo-... no, wait, that's an incredibly silly setup.

You are a young boy, however.
You live alone in this house in a plain.
Image

You have lived here for as long as you can remember.
You live here alone, living off the land. No creature has bothered you, and you've never explored beyond the plain you live in.

There is a forest to the north, and a cliff to the south. You've never looked over the cliff, so this is your impression of what is probably over there.
Image
Yep, you are definitely on the back of a giant monster. No other possible explanation.
You've never ventured into the forest. It's a pretty scary looking forest. And you have all you need here.

Anyway, the reason this 'adventure' has started is because today is not like any other day.
Today, you have found something outside your door.
Image
It appears to be something wrapped in blankets, and placed in a wicker basket.
Unwrapping the blankets, it appears to be a baby animal...

>But what animal is it?

You pull back the blankets, and welcome the creature into your home.
It's a... well, you suppose it's a dragon.
It's not breathing fire yet, which is probably a good thing, what with you living in a log cabin and all.
Nor does it have wings... but then again, not all dragons do...

So, you have a dragon.
You doubt it is going to eat the berries and herbs you have been foraging throughout your life...

What. No.
Take the baseball bat and if the dragon tries to eat your food, 'discipline' it.

Name dragon "Smitherson", take Smitherson hunting. A baby dragon has to eat after all.

Hunting? With the dragon?
Look at him, he's tiny!
He couldn't even kill a rabbit, let alone some of the beasts (you think there might be) in the forest...

I mean, look at his stats!
Image
He's way too hungry to fight right now.
Hmm, that is a rather nice stat screen... if only you had a name, then you could get one of your own!

And how will you hunt?
Punching things to death isn't a good idea.
Although, you could use that one weapon you have...

Image
The Dragonblade
...or not. That is an incredibly silly idea.

Start grinding with your dragon! Go to the forest and kill rabbits.

Also, for the sake of a STATS SCREEN, name self Barbossa.

Barbossa and Smitherson. It has a nice ring to it.

Well, you successfully name yourself, and even manage to add an inventory to your stat screen!
Image

You really don't think using Smitherson's head as a club is a good idea, no matter what you think.
So, you still need to find a real weapon. You don't have one on you, as you have never needed to hunt.

Maybe the other side of your house has one?

Choose your weapon wisely. It will serve you throughout your quest.
