Yes.

Although Lily was the best storyline, followed closely by Hanako's, Emi was great when she needed her gloves, and Misha had the best personality. I didn't like Rin or Shizune that much.

I got Emi first, too. She is the best of all of them! The BEST! (And I beat it 100%, too) It really is an awesome game. My rankings: -Emi is the best in my opinion because she is a tough nut to crack. I got great satisfaction from playing through her story and succeeding. (And I got her first. Biased is me.) -Rin is probably my second favorite because her story's ending gave me warm fuzzy feelings. BEST ENDING IN THE GAME. -Lilly is third best because it's cool to unravel her personality (she's not always super polite!). -Shizune is just... insane. That's the only word I have to describe her. Aggressive and competetive is an understatement. That's why it's both lower on the list, but not last place. -Hanako is last on my list simply because i didn't find her storyline nearly as satisfying as the others. It's cool to see her grow more independent and less afraid, but... it just wasn't my favorite. -Oh, and Misha is just hilarious. That laugh.... It's hard to rank them like this, since I enjoyed every single story immensely. Gonna change my avatar to Lilly soon, because I don't really want to associate myself with Kenji....

Well considering there are multiple "bad" endings to each character, and it just so happened that Misha's was one of Shizune's, I think you could see it as just an alternative. Certainly, you need to find all the "bad" ones to get 100% completion, so the trick is not to see it as a "bad" ending, and just accept it as the only way to make mad passionate love to what is clearly the best character. Also Lily in that dress you got there Nighthawk was sexy as hell.
