Nighthawk, 5. > Ready Rune-Knife. If anything gets close to me, stab it to death.

You draw the worn knife from its sheath and grin as it crackles with burning energy. Any of these freaks come near you, they get lightning-fried.

However, there aren't any freaks within shanking distance.

Name: Reynard Heinson
Equipment: Arcane Bulwark, Rune-Knife, "Most Holy is His Wrath".
Inventory (0/10):
Passive Abilities:
Active Abilities:
Conditions:
Static Blade: rest of battle.

Izen, 6. >Shoot whatever it is that's behind David.

You bellow a warning to everyone in your cone of fire, then take aim at the monstrosity and begin cranking the Popper's gear-driven ammunition chain.

The gun bucks as it spits out a messy stream of burning lead, which hits home and saws at least a dozen of the creature's appendages off.

They start regrowing, albeit shrunk and misshapen.

Oh Gods. You just realized you dumped three-quarters of your magazine.

Name: Agrath
Equipment: Mark 5 Steelwarden Suit (IR+Targeting), Popper LMG (20/80 Double), "Strength Through the Iron".
Inventory (0/10):
Passive Abilities:
Hammer-Novice: maintain gear, forge basic stuff + ammo.
Cog-Devout: temporary gear blessings.
Active Abilities:
Iron Blight: weakens enemy equipment.
Conditions:

caekdaemon, 6. Pray to the gods for protection from whatever inhabits this place.

You direct a fervent prayer for help to whatever gods that might be listening. Surprisingly, some are. It's one of the bonuses of being a champion of the Pact.

You feel the presence of Caecus, and runes flicker across your vision.
The Machinae markings on your Reaver glow blood red.
Impar speaks, and your mind branches into tentacles.

Name: Bob Of the House Of Jones
Equipment: Reaver, Armor of Woe, "INCANTATIONS FOR THE WISE".
Inventory (0/10):
Passive Abilities:
Divine Favor: positive effects upon prayer.
Active Abilities:
Conditions:
Arcane Might: 3 turns.
Sanctified Reaver: 3 turns.
Alien Perception: 3 turns.

Asklar, 3. >Search for a way out.

You scan the dark horizon until your gaze comes to the cliff wall, and spy some sort of mechanism lining it. The chains extend down to a bleak keep.

Then you are deafened by machinegun fire, and spin around to see an abomination attacking your group.

Name: Charles Cross
Equipment: Promethean Dagger (0/4), Spymaster's Vestment, "Glory to the Perfect Human".
Inventory (1/10): Promethean Fang Blueprints
Passive Abilities:
Active Abilities:
Conditions:

Ociamarru, 5. After hearing the warning, dive downward to avoid getting caught in the crossfire.

Using your superhuman speed, you hit the deck before you can get perforated by your Machinae comrade. You stick your fingers in your ears and watch a storm of bullets roar over you and tear up the creature.

Name: Damien Grimmhilde
Equipment: Warpknife (Four), Symbiotic Armor, "BEYOND THE MIND".
Inventory (0/10):
Passive Abilities:
Stranger: demoralizes, less human.
Active Abilities:
Nightmare: coma, damage.
Conditions:

nicolasx, 4. Try to slash the Deamon? behind me Duck for the shot.

You slice outward with one of your katanas, catching the "demon" on one of its legs. It lets loose a horrible howl as you sever the black material, but its flesh just grows back again, withered slightly.

Then you hear the ominous cranking of a Popper and quickly resolve to take cover.

Name: David Roffellon
Equipment: Entropic Katanas, Planewalker's Robe, "OUTSIDE".
Inventory (0/10):
Passive Abilities:
Active Abilities:
Flash: short teleport. Can be used passively or actively.
Spatial Withdrawal: teleport to silver sands. Risky.
Conditions:

Find the nearest enemy, and thrust Reaver into its chest.

Thank the gods that I'm a pantheon worshipper.

What will those abilities that I've received do?

You'll see, Caek.

Smart actions, guys! I'll give you a hint; big chunks of lead did more damage than a clean slice from a katana.

Hmmm. My weapon is sanctified, so I assume it will do more damage than said katana? Besides, its cursed.

Or it damn well will be after I'm finished with it...

Your weapon would do more damage, considering that yes, it's sanctified.

But that's not the key here. Think; chunks of lead vs. a clean cut...

Manipulate my Warpknife so that there are blades protruding throughout the main blade at erratic angles, then charge at and slice that mo'fo'.

My jagged mess of blades shan't be too clean of a cut.
