Maybe this isn't totally clear but the ground bots aren't actually visible yet. They're behind the closed gate and the walls of the the compound. D-EYE5's (DSMK2) sensors are why they're showing up on the map.

Ascertain if the downed drone has any sort of salveageable parts (Spiky bits), consider swapping mags, dismiss the idea, then shoot the next drone. Unless there aren't any.
