Both NTs manage to hit their targets, but the MAU fails to score any hits at all.

You unload another barrage of fire at the northern NT, but once again fail to score any hits, you're getting quite frustrated at how unreliable artillery is without a dedicated targeting computer.
Mech: Starbanger

Charge northern rifle NT while firing missiles at him.
Pilot name: Barqa Octavius
Description: A veteran warrior with a temper, got sick of fighting for the companies and went rogue. Although he has a short fuse the man is still far more intelligent than he looks
Ability: Jet charge [+2 to the first attack made against an enemy with the lance]
Making you decision you engage your boosters to full and start flying towards the Northern NT, and give it a pair of missiles while you're at it which blow off a decent amount of its armour.
Mech: Retiarius

Pilot name: Harald "Hardrada" Blomgren
Description: A broad of build but rather short figure with a magnificent red beard. Doesn't talk much.
You keep charging forwards, shrugging off the two rifle rounds that impact and chip off extremely minor chunks of armour.
Mech: The Lumberjack

Description: A light-skinned skinny 26 year-old man who used to work in an engineering bay. He doesn't say much, and is described as being "in the zone" when working.
Ability: Zen [+2 Accuracy, -2 Movement/Evasion] [2 Turn Duration, 3 Turn Cooldown [after end duration]]
You dash backwards with perfect timing, making the missiles fired by the MAU slam into the ground a good distance short of you, thankfully it misses with its cannon again the shot going significantly wide.
Mech: Snipehawk

Description: A lanky, tanned American pilot who lost his right eye before joining the mercs. It doesn't seem to have negatively affected his piloting skills. Calm and confident.
Ability: Evasion Focus [Scaling/variable skill: Evasion Focus (3) = +3 evasion, -3 accuracy. Evasion Focus (5) = +5 evasion, -5 accuracy. Etc.]
Attempting to keep evasive you rush sideways compared to the NTs perspective, but you're not quite close enough for it to be effective and a Rifle round slams into your front left leg. Your missiles on the other hand prove much more sucessful thna your dodging, two of them hitting it and blowing off its remaining frontal armour, and then dealing some damage to its structure.

Enemy Status
MAU: crippled right leg, no left leg, minor chest damage, no left arm.
North Rifle NT: significant torso damage.
South Rifle NT: minor torso damage.

Just a reminder, you can fire as many weapons at once as you want, there are slight negative modifiers if you combine different types of weapon [missiles don't cause [extra] negatives though]
Also you can fire on multiple targets in a single turn, but this will almost undoubtedly cause negative modifiers, which increase the further apart you two [or more] targets are.
Feel free to ask for further explanations about stuff if you want to.

Only the north NT manages to hit its target but is destroyed almost instantly afterwards, the MAU reloads its cannon while firing some more poorly aimed missiles before being skewered by Barqa.

Putting your jumpjets into overdrive you rush forwards and slam your lance into the MAUs chest punching straight out its rear, it would seem you struck its reactor as a jet of superheated gas sprays out of the hole made by your lance, but fortunately it does little more than singe your paintwork.

Ignoring another two rounds you keep moving, and unleash a blast of plasma that strikes the NT and reduces it to little more than a bubbling pool of slag.

After evading another salvo of Missiles you go to fire your laser at the MAU, but by the time you bring your aim over to the MAU Barqa is in the middle of charging it so you have to jerk your aim to the side to avoid hitting him.

Continuing your evasive manoeuvres you manage to avoid this salvo of fire, and then engage heavy sensor jamming on the MAU to help Barqas chances of not getting detected.
