You turn slightly to look at Bezel, and she responds with a slight nod.

General: "We'll see you Monday, then."

[That's all. Back to the warehouse.]

Your trio thanks the general and heads back to the warehouse, Claire and Bezel getting back to their tasks.

Bezel: "Hey Claire, I'm going to work on the sensors in the condo. The corruption in here is starting to interfere with the more sensitive parts."

Claire: "Alright, I'll see you later!"

Hm.

You could go with Bezel, stick around here, or do something else.

"So, what kind of piece are you working on? If you don't mind me asking, that is."

"Hey, Claire? You and Bezel were looking at diagrams of witch cores right? Could I see?"

Claire: "Sure! I'm still working on a complete map, but I have a few that show what they visually look like."

She passes several papers to you, all of them displaying detailed drawings of what looks like a city composed of gardens, cages, giant rocks, and massive sculptures.

All of them have an abstract sculpture of some sort in the center, almost tree-like, but lacking leaves.

Claire: "Here are some others - magic machinery, mana stones, nests."

Looks like the magic components are contained in the surrounding giant rocks and sculptures, while mana stones seem to be inside of giant fruit-like "plants" around the garden.

Large pods on the tree-like sculpture in the center of the "city" apparently hold the infant cores.

"This is... Beautiful, surprisingly. I thought the doves had an animal-like level of intelligence? How do they create such... complex shapes, such intricate architecture? Also, the tree- could it be the witch's reproductive system? Or just some sort of cradle for its eggs?"

She shrugs.

Claire: "I've never been able to look at one closely, or one that was undamaged. They break down pretty fast since they're in the center of the core."

"Uhm. So. Anyways. Do you have any idea of which parts control the space distortion? What we could possibly be looking for?"

I wish I could scribble over this but PHPBB doesn't support that.

"How do we have these diagrams then? From other researchers who have seen it?"
