You excuse yourself from the booth, heading out into the walkway and locating a restroom.

There's a mirror, so you make sure you look presentable and mentally go over your experiences.

Graduated with a major in Archaeology (and a minor in History, they kinda came together in the same package). Got a Teaching degree thrown in there as well, in case your whole Archaeologist thing fails and you need more money.

Started working for EOF (Enemy on Field), a child-company of Tree Press that makes role playing, "tactical" turn-based strategy board games. Your actual meetings with them to do work are a bit sporadic, mostly critiquing concept art and flavour text, writing history reports, that sorta thing. They at least give you monthly paychecks regardless of how often they need you.

As for actual Archaeology, you've made two "expeditions" so far - the last one where you visited the ruins west of Niir, and another where you explored a bit south and found an abandoned mineshaft and found an AM pickaxe and lamp.

Not that impressive, but it's what you have to work with.

You did not bring the AM pickaxe with you, that would be weird.

You had back to your booth and just watching the scenery scroll by as the train makes its way towards Darson.

[Time skip!]

The train's deceleration wakes you up from your nap - apparently you fell asleep. Iiri notices you waking up, greeting you with a smile.

Looking out the window, the train station is in sight, at the edge of a crowded town-like district, which makes up the western outer chunk of Darson.

Exiting the train with Iiri (and making sure you grab your things), the two of you leave the station and step out into the noisy, smelly, crowded city of Darson.

It's around this time that you remember that you forgot the interview letter, which includes the address to the place.

Iiri: "Um."

Your chirop friend gives you a look that's a cross between concern and "he seems like he did something stupid".

Iiri: "Alright.

So, ask for directions?"

There's like fifty people in sight, plenty of options to choose from.

Decide to execute the initial plan anyway.
