They did enjoy getting eaten by a witch a little too much, but I guess everything's fun when you've got a new lease on life."

Aldente: "Indeed.

How goes your own life? You seem to have a nonstop string of dangerous adventures, no shortage of excitement in sight."

She smiles slyly.

Aldente: "Maybe you had a hobby I wasn't aware of.

How is Bezel these days? I don't think I've seen her around recently."

"Heh, not sure she'd like being called my hobby.
Currently studying in Castellum II. She's doing well, though probably wishes I was around more, or she was on the trips too, or both."

Aldente: "Castellum II, that's certainly a long ways away from here.

That reminds me - during my book search, I came across something that might be of interest to you, located somewhere in Vellum.

'The Mausoleum of Saint Arthur', in the city of Bassa. In a deep valley, near a waterfall, the Bassa Falls. I don't know if the place is still around, but it had the 'Vault of Souls', an underground mass grave of ten-thousand bodies, confined into a relatively tiny space, the size of a house or so. Sounds a lot like an ancient space-compression construct."

"Oooh, that certainly seems promising. As is, I'm very much interested in any sort of ancient tombs or graves, and it being space compressed is a nice bonus. I'll do my best to find it.

...

...So, uh. Where'd the idea of Rulers being giant bells come from, then?"

”Oh. In the, book we found - The lupus fairytale, that you told me was probably a depiction of a turf war between members of your species.

The Ruler within was uh, depicted as a tall quadruped creature with porcelain skin. The thin upper body, combined with the wide base and four rounded legs, gave it the profile of a large bell.”

Well - You’ve led me to believe you don’t share their appearance, so I take it I won’t be offending when I ask:

What DO Rulers look like, then?”

Tuesday morning.

Well, if you don't have anything else to tend to, might as well help with expedition preparations.

Oh, and test the mechanics for rapid yoink-unyoinking to move stuff to the other side of walls or things like that.
