Bezel just mentioned that the memory stone in a witch core is identical to the ones the team found lined up at Bassa. And the one my Employer showed me.
A little red comma looking thing, compared to a smooth rod for every other core beast."

Claire: "I don't remember it in detail, but it looked drastically different from core structures, beasts and witches.

Where's Bassa?"

"Oh damn, I can't keep track of it all anymore.
Ruins site up in Vellum. Found a tomb with some, human originated memory stones with human spirits in them, which I just learned are visually identical to witch memory stones.
Was wondering if there was any other similarities with the spirit."

Claire: "Huh.

Well, I've never had access to equipment to analyze spirits, so can't say much there. You could take a witch memory stone up to Ossolen if you're really curious, they've made a lot of progress figuring out the machinery and paperwork you got for them."

"Mm, probably not worth it. I think we already have pretty strong evidence for it, no need to dig deeper until we've got a way to do something with it. Especially if it could involve outsiders.
Was more of a curiosity anyway."

Claire: "Mm. Gotta head back to the cubes, talk to you later."

With Claire and Isla going over documents with the R&D team and Bezel working on Stonecutter II, you guess you should leave them to their work.

Retrieving Evelyn from the meeting room, the two of you head into your office and close the door and then take your seats.

Evelyn: "I've experimented a lot on the test subjects, the Haas magic is easier to use than I expected. I can make a spirit familiarize with another, so there's never a risk of the Haas magic being transferred.

And dogs can't get magic."

Evelyn: "Yup.

I'm not sure if it's a side effect or 'learning', but the longer someone is under the effects of familiarization, the more likely they are to maintain some level of affection to the target when familiarization is undone."

Evelyn: "Not head-over-heels, more like, naturally friendly? In cases where people are compatible enough to be naturally in love, it helps kickstart that. If there's no chemistry in the first place, it goes away quickly.

And yeah, dogs can't get magic. No magic dogs. Something about their spirit doesn't let them accept the, magic package, even if familiarization is in place."

"Huh, that's interesting. I would've expected it to attach but be unusable, neat. Rules out using an animal as a magic mule I guess, but I doubt that has much use for us anyway.
Do you think you're ready to do it for real, transfer Observer?"

Huh.
If we transfer it, could the recipient use Aphelia? Guess we need someone trustworthy to get it first.
Actually. I can think of a lot of reasons to give it to Claire. Security, working with Ossolen, using it on the job..."

Evelyn: "You'll have to be, in close proximity to her, for five minutes to an hour."
