Try Observer, and then try to cast a light THROUGH observer. Put some real distance into it so it won't be just me casting normally. Like, Observe to the roof or something.

Activating Observer, you jump upwards until you reach the roof.

Immediately you begin to feel information flooding into your head, so you quickly look at just the roof surface below you - concrete, with a surface made of fine lines from probably a smoothing tool.

Alright, you're on the roof, focus stabilized, and head okay.

Tapping into your tendril magic, you, feel, strange, like partially waking from a dream, feeling yourself in two different places - on the roof, and back in your office.

Your tendril is definitely at your physical body's location, and moving it around feels independent from your Observer location. As you try to move the tendril up, the concentration on magic breaks the concentration on Observer, and you snap back to your body.

Reactivating Observer and returning to the roof, you extend your tendril out again while trying to maintain Observer.

It's fairly difficult to do, like you're concentrating on two things at once, but it seems doable with practice. Opening your eyes back at your body, you get a strange double-vision that stops Observer after a few seconds.

Hm. With practice, you should be able to use Observer while walking and looking around normally.

Anyway.
Timeskip.

Some time later, Bezel walks into your office.

Bezel: "Good news, I'm going to school."

How do you feel?"

Bezel: "Excited. Still somewhat in disbelief. It's, strange.

I'll be in and out of Vellum before the start of the semester for studying and stuff, and then staying for, I think their semesters were actually four months. Fewer days, but denser, or something.

You might end up there longer, with your search going on."

Bezel: "One semester, return to Darson during the break, go over progress and such, and from that point see about going back."

"Mm.
Hm. What are we doing for housing. We had some places but that felt more like a "temporary guest of the state" sort of thing.
I guess we can make do for awhile if we just, get somewhere cozy for Ingret."

Bezel: "My student loans cover housing, I think those are like, dorms, though.

Not sure about a place for you guys, maybe Ellen could help out with that."

Time to timeskip!

Hm. Bezel is still standing ther-

Bezel: "What are your plans on going back to Vellum for your search? Depending on how frequent your trips are, I might be tagging along here and there, unless if you plan on going and staying there until you find what you're looking for instead of taking multiple trips."
