"I don't think I'm stealthy enough for camo to work well on upper levels, so probably robes.
Would work on the lower levels. Wouldn't pass scrutiny on those lupus up close if they can sense a witch core, but far away it could be enough."

Bezel: "Hm.

If the lupus can sense space magic, would they be able to easily sense Aphelia's core?"

"It wasn't able to easily pick up on Observer, but Observer is also really small. I figure they're meant to use that sense to diagnose shielded machinery.
Aphelia's not a BIG witch, but she's still a witch. So, probably she'd be more visible than any machinery down there. I think she outsizes anything I saw. But, it's also a tiny witch core compared to a big machine...
It's, hard to say. But probably best to assume she'd stand out. The real question is how quick witted are the lupus, and what would they do seeing a big spatial anomaly moving around. Try to 'fix' it, I guess."

Bezel: "I guess she would be fine if they try to attack her, with her sand defense. The lupus raising an alarm would be a problem, though."

"Yeah, that'd be an absolute disaster.
I think avoidance will be my best bet here. Scope out routes and plan B's ahead of time, and frequently check as I go for lupus. If it's sight-like, I may be able to use the shielded machinery to hide too."

Morning.

Inside Ingret, You and Bezel stand around the meeting table, looking at the supplies laid out.

Shovel, crowbar, bolt cutters, machete, sledge hammer, axe, two field knives, hack saw with ten spare blades, three ladders, five large buckets with lids, a large clean tarp, a large dirty tarp (for camouflage in the tunnels), five spools of rope, three rolls of heavy duty tape, two spools of fishing line, a spool of stiff steel wire, various metal files, and a sharpening stone.

Also present is one of the Ricing carbines with ammo and accessories, as well as your Epard Mk VI - the manticore gun.

Bezel: "Hm."

"Nice.
You ever played with construction toys? The little metal plates and beams and screws and stuff?"

Bezel: "I've seen them before, but never really touched them. A bit redundant when you're a constructor.

Think something like that would be useful to store in Aphelia?"

Bezel: "I could quickly whip up something like that. Do you want some smoke and flashbang grenades, too? We still have a few of those leftover."

Bezel: "We don't have any actual explosives, but I can quickly make a torch construct."

Half an hour later, the equipment list grows to six flashbangs, five smoke grenades, a large pile of various sizes of plates with holes, bolts to connect them, three wrenches, and a vaguely-handgun-shaped construct torch.

Bezel: "Is that everything?"
