Cassily: "Come again! Have fun with the knives!"

You head out of the store, and begin your search for a blade. You still have your trusty utility knife of course, and it sure showed its use as a stabber against those wolves, but one purpose built for fending off live monsters and beasts would be smart.

Your wandering takes you through more streets, to an area full of open stalls with wares laid out. Many more melee weapons here, and you can see a sort of structure to things. Sword here, axes over that way, spears and polearms in that direction. You find where the small blade sellers live, and start wandering through the stalls, browsing for now.
Prices vary, but you see one good looking 8 inch double edged dagger for about 80 drach. You didn't look closely at longswords as you passed, but one beginner friendly looking sword was 300 drach.

Armor would be a whole different area, but you do already have some leather armguards. They certainly kept you safe from the wolves. Anything heavier might interfere with using your pistol, but something fingerless might work. Or just, stronger materials.

When was my magic pistol supposed to be done again? If it's done already, go pick it up. Else, timeskip to tomorrow - Guild Hall

Should be ready the day after tomorrow. You decide to head home for now and make a meal out of that wolf meat.

You walk into the guild hall in late morning, and look through the general throng of people for your teammates. You see them sitting at the same table as when you first met them, and head over. The two of them spot you on approach.
Frederic: "Gram."
Karina: "Gram! Did you find me a good souvenir shop?"

Karina puffs up and turns away from you, sulking.
Frederic looks over at you and cocks an eyebrow.

"Ah, sorry, that must've been before the time dilation. Happens from time to time, hard to remember things across incidents.

Tell you what! After today's hunt, I'll take you around myself and we can find the best souvenir shop, my treat even!"

Karina: ".....
Ehehehe..."

She spins back around, grinning wide. Frederic also shows a small smirk and shakes his head a bit.

Karina: "Kidding, Gram! I was kiiiidding! Heheheh, so polite! You get points for keeping a straight face though! 'Time dilation', heheh.
You hadn't promised anything! You did now though!"

"So, what's today's game?"

Frederic: "I didn't have anything in mind. Could go hunt some more wolves, now that we have some experience with them."
Karina: "Nope!"

Frederic looks surprised, and turns to face Karina.

Frederic: "Nope?"
Karina: "Nope! We have to wait here first!"
Frederic: "...what are you planning."
Karina: "I told you, secret! But once it's here we can go! Should be preeetty soon."

Alright then. Karina seems pretty set on waiting, and Frederic on staying with her.

A half hour passes. Dozens of people filter in and out of the guild. As another walks in and looks around, you see Karina, out of the corner of your eye, stiffen and sit straight upwards. She glances over at Frederic as the man, about your age, looks around the guild.
It takes a few more seconds, but Frederic spots the man too, and immediately sits straight upright.

Frederic: "Karina. Is that Leon."
Karina: "Heheh! Surprise~"

Karina waves at the man, catching his attention, as Frederic continues staring at him with a mixture of sternness and concern. As he walks over, you notice he's got apprentice mage robes on, the kind they wear at the nearby Wizard Academy. It's a sort of sibling organization to your own Adventurer's Academy, though focused almost entirely on magic rather than adventurer skills, and with a sizable research division.

Leon?: "Hey Karina. Hello Frederic. Got your letter. I guess that makes you Gram?"

"That's me.

Leon, huh? Would you happen to be the mythical Mad Minute I keep hearing whispers about?"
