Malia observes carefully as the rest of the group socializes. They're loud, careless. Easy to read.


Eigla gently feeds Rosa spoonful after spoonful of meat, the metal utensil looking particularly tiny in comparison to the megashark's maw. The gunner has to take care to only close her jaws after her companion's hand is safely out of their path, lest she bite it off completely.

As they snuggle and eat, Rosa starts picking at Eigla's hair, trying to get the dried blood and dirt out of it. She could certainly do with a bath, yes. Her hair is slick with oily water, and full of mats and-

...Are those maggots?

Rosa pauses for a moment as she notices a veritable swarm of tiny worms and vine-like structures, pulsating just under Eigla's hair, slowly entangling her fingers and tickling the underside of her nails. It's, quite disconcerting, and a slight bit gross.



Meanwhile, Curie shrugs, then sighs.

Curie: "Another evidence that he is not nearly as omnipotent as the others make him out to be. I cannot be sure where that fear and adoration stem from, really.

What bothers me the most is how Desuri completely failed to mention such an obvious threat. Perhaps she intended for it to kill us, after all"

EVENTS:

Rosa and Eigla cuddle together, enjoying one another's company. The sharkgirl's stomach growls, much to her embarrassment.


Curie smiles, moving a bit closer to Klimt and placing a hand on top of his own.

Curie: "Indeed. We make a good team, Klimt."

Peggy frowns loudly, but Emilia seems unaffected as she slowly, methodically munches on a piece of cooked meat.

There is a strange calm in the air, here, finally free from the moldy oppressiveness of the seawall. You feel yourselves relaxing a bit, finally coming to terms with your recent near re-death experience.



Malia, mostly uninvolved in the conversation, gazes absentmindedly at the horizon. The breeze has pushed the mist back a bit, and the moving shapes are beggining to be recogniseable.
Wind turbines, or windmills? But, they're unusual in that they're quite a bit shorter and stockier, and the base of each one seems to have a large moving beam or piston, some going down into the ground, others connected to long pipes leading out into the ocean.

Looking at the northwestern sea, she also sees something unusual. Bright, brief flashes of red light, like distant fires, appearing and disappearing over the horizon. Her ears pick up the sound of distant thunder accompanying the lights, though it might just be the crashing of the waves. How peculiar!
