The bird doesn't respond to Eigla's attempts to calm it down, so Rosa approaches, trying to pick it up.
...It's, quite hard to get ahold of the bird's body, so she grabs it by its remaining wing and lifts it off the floor. There is a brief flurry of teeth and talons in her direction, but it stops as the avian realises it can't reach her.
Looking closely at the bird, it is... Vaguely humanoid and harpy-like, but definitely deformed. Its wings are actually legs, bent downwards with the aid of rusty pulleys and steel wire, a thin membrane of skin connecting the thighs to what were once feet. Its pelvis is split into a gaping, vertical maw, bristling with filthy yet wickedly sharp teeth. An emaciated, back-to-front girl's torso completes the nightmarish figure, her head bent backwards and sewn to her shoulder blades to allow it to look up from its inverted position. You notice with some disgust her throat is partially torn open, foul fluids continuously dripping out from her esophagus.
Bird: "Caw."

Using her trusty sewing kit, Eigla closes the bird's gaping wound. It's a patch job, but should keep her from bleeding out. Not gonna be flying anytime soon, though.

Even in her state of shock, the bird somehow gets the meaning of your words. She smiles, surprisingly.
Bird: "3... Tolls. 3 times... 3 Pigs... CAW. LOTS OF MEAT, THAT! CAW CAW! SQUAWK!
WE FRIENDS NOW. NOT KILL ANYMORE. CAW! BEST FRIENDS!"
The creature tries to flap its wings in some sort of celebration, but only manages to wiggle around in place. Situation... Defused, somehow?

The party returns to the truck, Rosa carrying the crippled vultureperson in her arms. The bird excitedly lets out a series of low caws and squeaks as she is placed in the cargo bay, eyeing the other occupants with curiosity.
Peggy: "...The hell did you bring that thing back for? Look, it's tracking bird ♥♥♥♥ all over my truck! Oh, whatever. Let's, let's just get out of here."
She starts the truck again, and you continue across the bridge. Several minutes later, you've made it to the other side. The bird flock continues to watch you from a distance, now perched on an ancient, fallen over transmission tower.
