"Hm."

Are they similar in size to me? Particularly with the limbs?
Maybe I could make some kind of armor, or at least clothing?

EVENTS:

Rosa checks the dead Ordelies for wearable parts. Despite being tall, they're not nearly her size, and most of the chitinous parts are thin blades. There's not much in terms of armor, unless she fancies cutting their skulls in half to make a grisly reimagining of a coconut bikini.

Their fabric-like wings, however, are surprisingly tough and stretchy. By ripping and sewing together those from all four corpses, she should be able to make some sort of crude garment.

Klimt has an idea. Using his tendrils to wrap around one of the exposed nerves, he pulls it out of the sticky mucus and connects it to his body, hoping to gain some sort of insight into the mind behind the creatures.

...Huh. Not much seems to have changed. The clear, watery goo is the same, his body is the same, the others-

He looks up, finding himself surrounded by monsters. The landscape is dark, and the noise of the crashing waves is almost too loud to bear. Flies buzz over the bloody carcasses of their recent meal, and every surface is slick with a yellow, festering film of bacteria.

A huge, infected colossus looms behind him, like a foetid mockery of the female form, diseased blood squirting from its badly-sewn joints as it ponderously moves. The creature grabs a corpse - the white form of a young nurse - off the floor, and starts carelessly ripping off her gown, breaking her frail arms in the process.

Another, smaller abomination steps closer, bearing a rusty, gore-encrusted knife. In its maggot-ridden hands, it carries the limbs and organs of the bodies it had been butchering. Tentacles line its sunken, partially rotted face, as its jawless hole of a maw makes disgusting sucking and belching noises, in a maddening cacophony.

Klimt gains 2 Madness!

"Eigla. Help me collect wings from these. I want to make a wingkini.
Or better, if possible."

"Klimt? What's going on? Are you connected to the bugs?"

EVENTS:

Klimt thinks - A way. A way to see his face? There should be - Wait.

Rummaging through his pockets, he finds a small piece of broken glass. Trembling, he holds it at just the right angle, and-

It's him. Himself. Klimt. He looks - A little pale, from the fright, and slightly scuffed up and dirty, but - It's still him. He's, breathing, and healthy, and, perhaps, a little bit alive? C-could it be?

His stupefied smile quickly fades as he sees the monsters moving again. The larger one continues to desecrate the nurse's corpse, ripping away her pale skin with its overgrown nails, while the smaller one has turned to face him, producing even louder, stomach-churning noises, spitting ribbon-like ringworms from its open throat.

"It looks like... like I'm alive... and you're a moving corpse... you keep making these disgusting sounds...

There are worms falling from your body... why are you cutting up that beautiful nurse?"

"Nurse? It is the bug.
I am collecting its wings, for rudimentary clothes."

EVENTS:

Klimt feels the urge to vomit as the smaller monster "talks" again, and he sees the veritable armies of vermin crawling just under its skin. It moves closer to the behemoth, who grinds its teeth noisily, and they both start noisily tearing off the nurse's fingers, stashing them in the rotting, blubbery folds of the giant's corpulent figure. After her hands are merely bloody stumps, they begin pulling on her skin, ripping it off the corpse until her once-beautiful body is a twisted, night unreconiseable mass of flesh and sinew.

Those - They MIGHT be Rosa and Eigla, or at least he thinks so, but it's still a fearsome and grotesque sight. He gains 1 more Madness!

Klimt.
Can you hear us?
Can he hear us?"
