Post Plasma Shield Collection
Welcome to Cricket's Collection of Plasma Shields! Most of you probably know about the plasma shields by now, but I'll describe it for the new people.

Image

A Cricket-created plasma shield is generelly a device which protects the user on all sides by creating a powerful defensive plasma field around the user, repelling many rounds of different strength depending on the device. The color of the plasma tells how damage resistant the shield is. Yellow is weakest, Blue is medium, and Red is strongest.

The Shields

Top Row
From left to right:

- Proto Plasma Shield -
Plasma: Yellow
The first plasma shield
in the series, it was a prototype
for small clones back in build 14.

- Plasma Shield 1 -
Plasma: Yellow
The first "Official" shield, this one
can take more hits.

- Plasma Shield 2 -
Plasma: Blue
More resilient than #1, it has
a newer energy projector than
the old ones.

- C. Plasma Shield -
Plasma: Blue
This one has a unique design
that allows the blue plasma
to have a higher concentration
in the front, making it tougher.

Bottom Row:

- Super Shield -
Plasma: Red
The energy in this shield gives
it more power for a larger coverage
area an stronger defence.

- Mega Shield -
Plasma: Red
An upgrade from the Super allowing
even stronger power. Can only be
destroyed by heavy firepower.

- Ultra Shield -
Plasma: Red, Blue, Yellow
Warning! Highly unstable! This Shield has
a Red and Yellow outside, Blue and Red
middle, and a pure red core shield. Due to
this effect, the plasma may sometimes shift
and kill the user when destroyed.

Other:
- Shield Deployer -
Image
Plasma: Blue
This shield is stationary and deployed by a
bomb. It will last for 60 seconds before
disapearing.

I like the idea of the plasma shield, does it have the same effect when it's not in-hand? Like letting it protect an ACrab ?

Also, does it let projectiles out?

yes, the plasma shield lets projectiles out ppiksmada. it is only holdable with 1 handed weapons or weapons that can be held with a shield. the plasma shield has to be in your hand to work. its not a deployable :D

ive been waiting fora B20 plasma shield. finally you did it woot. but now i dont use shields that much any more. o well.

You press the download button at the bottom of the first post.
Common sense, use it.

You don't "install" it, you just put the .rte file in your cortex command directory.

Well, since you desperately seek opinions, I guess the effects look okay, although a bubble like this seems to look a bit odd and out of place.
I'd never use this as well, since I dislike having units impervious to enemy fire like this. :???:
