It's my best guess. Scancode is probably screwing with the server and restarting it to make changes take effect or something like that.

If this site would be gone for a day then I'd be curious to know if there was another fire or explosion or a giant orangutan attack, but, really, a couple of minutes...

Seriously though, a few minutes? The server's never been what I'd call stable, surely you wouldn't think it too sinister that it'd be offline for such a short period, especially once it's back without any apparent damage?
