The Hydra

Zalo Tech is at it again! For your playing pleasure, we present a completely dangerous, and totally original new form of synthetic wildlife.

How to care for your new Hydra:
1. Whatever you do, don't feed it. But, if you do, its preferred food of choice is crabs. Cute Crabs.
2. Get the heck out of there.
3. Aim for the Base.

For your safety, we (violently) neutered it and stuck it in a can.
DISCLAIMER: It may be angry with humanity. Not our fault.

Have fun! (and good luck).

Crashes if it dies. But I do like the concept.

Reminds me of those tentacle things in Starwars that hide in this weird organic tunnel.

8/10.

No code specific for cute crabs, -10/10.
But this is pretty neat, besides the whole crashing on death thing.
7/10.

If you gave it more joints and a few more heads it would be a true Hydra.
7/10

Also its actual favorite food is a GML's missile. ;)

This kinda reminds me of the HL2 hydra. Except not as flexible. 5/10, needs more polish (extra joints).

Thats the space worm. Or if your talking about the thing in the sand, its the Sarlacc.

I'm going to give it a 5/10 because

1. The sprite isn't that good.
2. No polish
3. The usability is low since it doesn't really fit in with the rest of wildlife.

It's zalo, the sprite doesn't have to be good.

Amazing original idea and great execution.
Could use another joint or two.

9/10.

I'm fairly sure the maths is a nightmare as it is with one joint already.

I laughed at cute crabs.
Polish it somemore, and make it code specific to gore cute crabs and it would be even better.
id rate, but i still might enter.

I love this one, I hate game crashes each time it dies...
I made some sprite for myself, but I'll share.

Wow. Simply wow. The greatest base defence system I've ever seen.

It doesn't look wild enough for me. Also, it does act like a robot, but looking at the Lua I see no point in giving it more joints than it has. When this contest is over, you should transform it into a robot trash compactor.

7/10

Reminds me of the HL2 Beta hydra :)
9/10
Could it possibly function like the HL2 beta one also? Say, maybe is spears them (they die and the body says on the tentacle) and then eats their corpse?

This reminds me of the Floor Masters from Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker.

Except this grows, which is cooler.
