 Re: Art Dump
It... has backwards legs, great otherwise and once again I weep at how I've been clinically diagnosed with "artistic retardism'.

 Re: Art Dump
Yeah chicken style legs, though the feet are a bit derp, yeah. Cheers for the feedback. Might do some more kitbash stuff later next week, happy enough for a first attempt.
..artistic retardism?

Anything artsy or creative I try to make crashes and burns faster than a German blimp.

That's a nice mech Geti, besides what the other's said (backwards looking leg, odd looking feet) I think the model and/or texture could use a bit more detailing in places. Granted it's meant to be low res, but I think you can add some nice looking stuff without a huge amount of extra tris. Consider stuff that a mech would need to function properly on a battlefield might help. I can see air intakes on the sides for example for some sort of engine but no outtake roster(s) on the back. Since this is a combat mech it would probably also have an array of sensory equipment like FLIR/NVG and regular cameras (check out those camera bulbs on the noses of most modern attack helis f.e.), maybe some small antennas for communication, radar equipment, perhaps installations for smoke/countermeasure deployment etc. Also absent seems a hatch for the pilot! I guess I might be mostly nitpicking (as usual), but I hope it's helpful anyways.

There's no such thing, there are only people who can do art or people who either don't have the time or don't have the patience to do art. Nobody is born an artist, it is all about muscle memory and fine tuning. It is a learnable skill. The only way you can be born incapable of art is if you are born without some form of motor control. As you are typing on a keyboard this is unlikely to be the case. Of course the longer you put things of by saying "I can't" instead of just doing them until you can, the harder it gets.

What Chao said, I usually tell people it's something you continuously refine rather than learn like a language.

 Re: Art Dump
Yep. Art is all part of a process. Look at Howard Taylor, for example, in his comic Schlock Mercenary. Compare his very first comic strip with one of the newer ones. Keep in mind that the time frame is a number of years, over a decade of continual drawing. http://static.schlockmercenary.com/comics/schlock20000612.png?1297712534http://www.schlockmercenary.com/2012-03-18

Practice doesn't work for me, but that's only because I have heavy dysgraphia. If you don't have an actual issue, you're just not trying hard enough.

Nice work on the KAG title screen, spectacular atmosphere in it, I could just hear the cold winds blowing through the alpines and whipping the banner around.

I don't think you guy have seen this yet... Nevertheless, it's safe to say that Lego Star Wars is a big part of my childhood.

 Re: Art Dump
Is that from the newer sets of Lego Star Wars or from the older ones?

 Re: Art Dump
I preferred more the old sets. Mainly because the new sets have the human painted in skin color, not lego-yellow.
