Post Favorite modder(s)
I decided to start this topic to ask players who is their favorite modder(s) on the forums are, please say their name and why.

For me it would be snow monster for his lizard men faction mod, and maximumdude for his large and awesome works on bunker modules and he always catches my eye when i look for mods.

Hrm. Tough choice. I believe that Darlos9D has to be my favorite, if only for DarkStorm's working stealth soldier. Very few people have successfully pulled that off, and none the way Darlos had.

Pfff, easy.

Kettenkrad. The Wehrmacht and General Industries are veeeery, very good, in almost any aspect, if not all.
Gotcha!, UniTec is a must for anyone who has ever played CC.

And of course there are more, but I won't list everyone =P

Also, weegee, as the best mission maker ever.
Ever.

They're old as hell I just didn't want to give a serious answer because I don't really even play CC any more

Yup. You will have to start at the bottom.
Edit vanilla content, heck, edit other peoples' mods (as long as you don't re-release them) and learn what you changed.
After you've modified a couple of guns, learned what all the ini variables do, try to make your own gun and move up from there.

It's a very long process and I still consider myself a bit of a novice. Be sure you have the patience for it. If not, better not try it at all.

This, but specifically Weegee, Bad Boy and Gotcha for the amazing mission work they've been doing together.

I'm going to have to say besides the ones listed before. Numgun had awesome stuff going on before the mishap.

Ontop of that I believe I might need to add's Adasx10's spritemanship. His sprites are awesome, and I regrettably could not code any of his sprites on my previous X2 factions to an extent that I can say represent his sprites to the fullest extent.

This + abdul and kettenkrad. Unitec + MP3 is ridiculously impressive in its scope and size and detail and an absolute must try mod. Kettenkrad's sprites are more or less the best and he's also all round good at modding, ideas and design, truly a solidly great modder. TLB and abdul are wizards at lua and probably in general. Weegee just amazes me, the framework for unmapped lands and cortex shock make them pretty much games in and of themselves, it's mind blowing how much time and effort he puts into his missions and how well they come out. Not to mention he inspired me to get into mission making and all that, I'd never coded or modded anything before learning lua for making CC missions, and it's become one of my favourite things to do because of its sheer creativity.

Wow thanks, didn't expect to see my name anywhere, I'm happy to be included amongst such distinguished modders :)
