So, I remembered I have some 15 assembled orkz and another 15 still in their respective sprues.

I'm such a lazy painter now. Also been painting with cheap 00 brushes meant for something related to nails. A buck fifty for a six pack and the first one still holds a better point than GW brushes.

you ♥♥♥♥ nerds....

I have all the WH40k video games except Dawn of War 1. Is it cool to play all the other ones without it, or do I need to play it first?

You can start on any of them really.
Also I have so many units I should paint. There are some I haven't even opened and I really should finish things.

Also, space hulk. Pretty good game so far, but the missions do tend to take up quite a bit of time.

The board game? Is so, then it's pretty fun, as long as you can find some decent people to play with.

I don't think you understand.

WH40k *is* the tabletop/board game system.

Haven't played a game in about a year and a half. Most people in the hobby are too neckbeard, even for me.

The actual tabletop requires a lot of time and money to invest. Them figurines ain't cheap.
Well, unless you have friends that already have armies already made and ready to play, or a game shop around with the same, then it just takes time and effort to learn the rules and set up the gameplay.

The video game spinoffs are of varying quality and enjoyment.

I would play more if I had anyone to play with. I've got an army and everything but no opponents. I can't get the motivation to finish assembling/painting a bunch of stuff because I won't get to use it.
It's great fun if you have the time, resources, and people to play it with though.

I bought asobr to play with my brother in law, but he ended up giving up in the assembly stage and never even skimmed the rules.

So, this is what about 4 grand looks like.

Complete thread necromancy is in order.

After hardly playing for the past two years due to my models constantly falling apart I finally figured out the problem. A faulty batch of glue.....
Now here comes the unexpected twist, Games Workshop is going to completely replace all the affected models, AND PARTS, with the same or something of similar value. Including a 20 Euro gift card as an apology.

This means I'll be getting back in the hobby and starting a new army: A heavily converted (Dark) mechanicus horde using the Eldar rules.

Which will consist mostly of ripping of the amazing work of Guitarasmus:

Note the following are NOT my models.

Hot damn, that's good stuff.
I need to get new paints/glue/spraypaint because mine got lost in the move, but I don't feel like spending all that money
