Valerie grabs a piece of paper from a drawer and writes something on it out of sight, and then holds it under the table.

Evelyn looks at you, concentrating, and a blanket of warmth envelopes you.

Sitting down, you look in the direction of where the paper should be, and then focus on a spot past the table.

Your view snaps to just past the table - its rougher underside, the floor, Valerie's hand, the piece of paper -

Concentrating on the paper, your view snaps to just it - folded in half once, pressed against the bottom of the table, with 'Obligatory Pancakes' written inside.

You return to your body, observation complete.

No headaches!

It seems like you can somewhat easily keep the scope of observation narrow and minimize information overload.

"Obligatory pancakes. Heh.
Hm. Interesting. There wasn't any sensory overload or nausea that time. Maybe it was just the recency of the injury that was screwing it up.
See anything, Evelyn?"

Evelyn: "Nothing..."

Valerie: "Interesting. That magic you have can avoid some pretty serious detection."

"It was operating just fine inside a box full of corruption, too. It's definitely not ordinary magic.
Hm.
Can I try using it directly on you guys? Like your hand? I want to see if it's noticeable if it touches your spirit."

Evelyn: "Okay."

Evelyn holds her hand out to the side.

Focusing on her hand, your vision snaps to it, and then you delve into her hand, observing the veins, muscles, tendons, and bones, despite there being no light inside.

You return to your body after, with no headache or nausea. Same as before, it seems like keeping a narrow scope prevents the side effects from occurring.

Evelyn: "Nothing.

Wait. That means, you can see through clothes?"

Her face begins to blush and she turns away.

Oliver: "So, when they say to imagine people in their underwear, you can really do that?"

Walking up to a window, you look towards the direction of the street, which extends several blocks down until it disappears around a slight bend.

Focusing on the furthest building's door, roughly six blocks away, your vision snaps to it as expected, and you cut off the stream of information before too many details of the door flood through your mind, returning to your body.

You're not sure about the exact range on Observer, but it seems to be extremely far. If you can "bunny hop" from place to place at that range as you've been doing with short range tests, you should be able to get extremely far.

"Long range too.
Jeez. This thing is ridiculous. The only weakness is it's literally too effective for me to handle.
Well this will definitely come in useful for expeditions. Incredible scouting ability.

Anyway. Ready to go spy on a boat?"

Valerie: "Ready."

Oliver: "Yup."

Evelyn nods as well.

Wait.
"Hey Ingret, I'm gonna try to Observe into your core from the outside, ok?"
Back to the outside of Ingret. One last thing.

Ingret: "Okay."

Once your team exits Ingret, you focus on her body, your vision burrowing through until you locate the black egg-shaped orb that is her core.

Snapping to the core, you find that there's a spherical, barrier of some sort, inside the egg, that you can't jump into.

While everything else in Observer has been clear and detailed, the spherical barrier seems fuzzy, as well as being opaque.
