this would be a great batch files to help beginners.

The thing is... they would stay beginners and never
learn what variable does what.

They would RELY on your batch file.

Good mods would be meaningless with a good mod creator.

Keep up the good work.

They can still learn. You can't edit ANYTHING using this Batch File without erasing ALL your work. Like I said this creates the base for your mod. Then you edit how you like. I don't know many people that make good mods on their first try

Did you just say 9 lines of code per line in the normal file? That seems like... a lot, why don't you do it in C++ i really don't think it should take that many lines of code. All you really need is a varible for everything thats ... well a variable, then just ask the person to declare it, have the program throw it into the code, and then make a file with the finished thing. It will get more complicated for actors but for guns and bombs it shouldn't be too hard.

Still props too you, i'm too lazy to do this in C++ or batch files. It's a good idea, and at the very least will help show new people what values you edit do what. I think it would be cool / neat if just for everything you included what it did. Aka. "Mass: Mass is blah blah blah can affect damage, etc. blah blah blah. Enter a value for the Mass: " It would help the newbies even more since it would get them familiar with what every value does and would reduce silly questions like "How do i make a gun do more damage" etc.

Again nice job.

It's really not that much because once you get the first 9 lines, you can copy and paste and make little edits. I don't know C++ so it doesn't really matter anyway!

As for the descriptions, we have a guide here to do that. I can't waste 1-2 lines for each variable.

I'm pretty much finished with the Explosive Batch File; it's basically just spell checking now. It's 373 lines including all my introductions, endings, and warnings. Not TOO much!

Looks good. And, if it creates all of the files for you, you can get the basics and edit them later manually if you want. I have tons of ideas for mods, I'm just usually too lazy to set everything up to make them.

This is such a great Idea, and I know it will be very helpful to all coders, but mostly for simplistic coders or lazy people like me. Don't forget to put an appendix explaining which variable is which.

As couchcaboose said, this will help many lazy/inexperienced coders.

Keep this up.

Now if we could only get a really easy to use, drag and drop offset creator...

Haha! A drag-and-drop offset creator would be very awsome, but it would ruin all the fun we have determining the offsets ourselves! :D

You know I'm kidding on that last part right?

Make it make only the most basic mod, no gibs or something so there is still a place for real modders
Or else you'll get Luddites on your tail
And you don't want that

But it will be so useful for just normal, quick mods

I CAN'T WAIT

I want gibs to be in there. I guess you could call this a "Template Maker" with fill in the blanks. I want it to be simple but complete.

For the last time, TEMPLATE! You can go back and edit.

This is both a good thing and a bad thing. The good thing is that it will make mod making easier for noobs. The bad thing is that it will make mod making easier for noobs.

It's all building up to the 1337th mod.

Haha! Sorry for the wait. If you checked the progress thing on the first page I've got 99% on Explosives and Weapons, but it's been a really long day and I don't feel like spell checking it right now. It's too much to spell check (Explosive (399 lines) + Weapon (702 lines) = 1101 lines to check) It will probably be released tomorrow when I get home from school, so only a little bit longer!

Which reminds me... I've got 2 Projects and 1 Test all due soon for school so I won't be able to start on the Actor Batch File until who knows when :-(
