It's a pain in the ass. I had to use complete other methods(lol l33t h4xx amirite). He needs to make it not case-sensitive.

Seraph, you're late. Way late. I already posted that google maps link.

I'm guessing you used Black Widow or something along that line?

MOVING ON. Daman, you probably found the other hidden thing because you used that. Has anyone else? The hint to how to find it is in the research section after you figure out the password from the hints I've posted.

Good and bad news gentlemen. We have made a medical discovery concerning reanimated infection.

"After a number of tests on live lab specimens, we have discovered that the immediate freezing of the afflicted area will slow the rate of corruption by up to 196 percent. However, we still have no definite way to halt or cure infection."

This knowledge will be given to our troops, as well as an adequate supply of cold packs.

A and D were also both attacked by reanimated.

Concerning A: A defeated the onslaught using a minimal amount of ammunition. No losses were recorded among human survivors.

Concerning D: The waves of reanimated which suddenly converged upon the shores of base D were underestimated. By the time they were eliminated, they had done extensive damage to a wall on the east side of the base, and had almost breached it. (Until repaired, the base stands a 3 in 30 chance of destruction from a reanimated attack.)

Also: Soldiers defending base D reported a small number of what they claim to be 'fast reanimated'. Below are selected comments from a number of survivors.

"They were... Fast. Not like the others. They were running, sprinting, even, and that noise... Holy crap, that growling moan is going to give me nightmares for a long time..."

"It was so weird. We're used to just picking off the slow ones as they stupidly make a walk for the wall... But these ones, they just RAN. It was like, some kind of freak show, this thing was like a monkey, jumping off other reanimated, propelling itself off them. And this is the bad part... I swear, this thing was trying to dodge our shots. It KNEW we could kill it from where we were..."

"I had a close encounter with one... I hope never to have an experience like it again. We were trying to kill them before they could tear down the wall, and this thing came sprinting along, until it jumped and clamored over the wall and tackled me to the ground. I kept trying to get it's face away from me... Shoving at it's throat... I swear it was so close I could read this guy's former identification card from work...

Anyways, someone finally saw what was happening, so he shot it a few times and it backed off until we could finish it off. Seriously, these things, where ever they came from, need to be taken seriously."

In other news, a helicopter from A has dispatched the group of volunteers to facility I to rebuild. They have 2 days remaining to completion of a wall.

Also, the helicopter quickly preformed a fly over of facility E. No survivors made themselves known. Supplies or useful equipment may still remain, however.

The helicopter had no issues concerning flight. It returned safely to A.

Base B and D have 3 days remaining to the completion of their airstrips and vehicle plants.

Base A has one day remaining to slanted walls are completed.

Day 5 has begun.

Before we go any further, did we save the fast zombie corpses, and if we did, compare them to normal ones for study.

Also, check the normal ones for name tags. Apparently fast ones have them.

And read off any name tags you find.

As I have indefinitely said before, we must attempt to branch out to any remaining facilities of unknown status. I find it imperative that we attempt to find more survivors in said 'Purple' zones. We should also continue research on our reanimated foes, particularly these 'Runners'. These Eye-witness accounts have proved invaluable, and the soldier at facility D who was tackled and fought bravely for his life, commend him greatly and give him a medal of some sort...he has earned it and shown us a new threat to human existence.

You will find recon plans on the maps defined by the Yellow Arrows,

Facility A should send some supporting troops and materials to D to assist in current defense and repairs, as indicated by the Blue line.

Not a bad idea. HOWEVER. I believe it's more important at this point to take the empty bases. Recon is good, but overextending is VERY VERY BAD.

Also, waiting to learn about these name tags before I give any orders.

Well, I have some valid questions:

Did this virus thing originate in Australia? It's the only of the six populated continents to not have any living bases or anything. Plus, if it did, that would be where would should attack.

In the mean time, I agree with exalion, we really need to save everyone we can, because developing more humans takes a long time. Combat-ready humans, anyway.

My point is that if we lose our own people in the process of saving some others, it's worth nothing.

Remember, as long as we have walls up on our bases, it's impossible to lose unless they're torn down, which means that on the next attack they have a VERY LOW CHANCE of losing. The base with the missing walls, that is. Therefore it's better to slowly move up in an entrenched position.

In other words, it's basically a minimum of three attacks needed to destroy a base that's well fortified.

EDIT: I'm getting REALLY DANG TICKED OFF. I have something that needs help solving in the ARG, but it's in the area I gave hints for, and therefore can't ask you all to help without spoiling it. :/

If some uppercase/lowercase variation of "KERNP" is the password to the research section, that means that there are 64 different possible answers, anyone with about 20 minutes of free time should be able to do it. EDIT: Wait, no...by "pass" Empy wasn't saying that that was the password was he....?

Grah. Let me ask Dauss if I can tell you all the answer, with logic included.

Remember, the ARG is like Notpr0n/Antiriddle.

It's a word thats in both of the messages? edit: I'm in and accessing the research databanks. I'm currently backing up all data contained on the research area of the site. There isn't much, most of the pages are corrupted. Are any more of the passwords hinted at, or not yet?

AUTOMATIC QUERY RESPONSE: General Dauss is currently away from his interface.

Please wait a moment while his chosen second in command is notified of your request.

[executecommand:notifyandrogen2ofqueryrequest]

Evening Gentlemen. I am Commander Peterson. I have been appointed to the position of supervisor for the time being during General Dauss' time of absence. He deeply regrets not being able to lead you himself, however he has important matters to attend too.

Regarding the storm approaching Base D, it will not cause any damage to the base itself, but may well jeopardize any attempts at using aircraft to and from D.

I will be on station for another hour until I retire for the night gentlemen. I look forward to working with you until General Dauss returns.

This 'lost' H bomb was found in the year 2009 gentlemen.

It was disarmed with the EPA of 2018, alongside the Russian nuclear arsenal.

Ok, here's the answer. Just telling you so that you know the logic to use from now on.

First. We know the basename, Dauss posted it earlier. It's NDREY. Now we need a password. This is almost illogically hard. Let's take a strange part of each of "Commander Peterson's" posts.

Quote:
[executecommand:notifyandrogen2ofqueryrequest]

If you turn that into words, it's "Execute command: Notify androgen2 of query request." The only thing that seems strange is androgen2. So, androgen.
Androgen is the generic term for any natural or synthetic compound, usually a steroid hormone, that stimulates or controls the development and maintenance of masculine characteristics in vertebrates by binding to androgen receptors.
And then there's a two. So it sort of makes sense. ANDROGEN2 is the pass, since it's all caps pass now.

So, NDREY is basename, ANDROGEN2 is pass. Now, you're in there. Read the first log. Now, if you look through the logs, they're all errors. BUT one of them is ERRoR.html instead of ERROR.hrml. So, check the source code. Hey, look, text the color of the background! At least, the source tells you that. And it's there. "/logs/LOG0-00.txt". So, http://maximov.007ihost.com/logs/LOG1-01.txt is the format for a log. So do http://maximov.007ihost.com/logs/LOG0-00.txt. That doesn't lead to anything... yet.

That's how to solve it, and the line of thought used. Use that for later things that will appear in the ARG.
