Post Folder Problem -{Urgent}-
Ok I was following a guide I found on the internet on how to change your folder icon and I messed up badly.

The instructions were
1: Open My Computer
2: Click Tools - Folder Options
3: Click File types tab
4: Click on the type of the file you would like to change the icon for.

I clicked on "File Folder" and selected a new icon and saved the changes.

Now when ever I try to open a folder it opens in a new window and the icon for folders never even changed help!

Ok I have gone as far as uninstalling all my programs and even useing registry tweaks and nothing is working. (Grabs Windows install dvd) :skull:

I have a feeling that formatting is juggz's answer to every computer related problem...

"Hmmm? I cant connect to internet? How come?"

Dont worry... just reformat your comp, it will get better...

Did you try restarting your computer? Often changes don't show up straight away and the computer needs to be restarted.

I tried restarting and everything I went into safe mode uninstalled all my programs and nothing would work.

Formating fixes everything!

*headdesk*

Formatting doesn't fix everything.

Besides, wouldn't you rather figure out the problem yourself instead of having the reinstall all your settings and programs again? I know I would.

Lol reinstalling and getting all my stuff back takes only 2hrs and fixing the problem could potentially take weeks the only thing formatting cant fix is hardware failure and burnouts.
