The ML shoots a dumbfire rocket (not spinning), but if theres anything infront of it, and is near its flightpath, it will home. If not, it hits whatever it was shot at. So the missiles won't backfire and smack you in the face...
Should work, except as mentioned, the missile won't orient properly.
