i would love to see a shooter thats not like any other shooter AND IS GOOD. of course we have counterstrike, halo, gears of war, rainbow six and a ton of other series that are all very similar and yet different. like the conduit is different, but pretty much the same. its got its newer/ innovative parts to it along with the lots of tried n true mechanics.

it would be great to see a COMPLETELY original shooter that didnt have anything that has been done before and was good. there are many different types of shooters, there are the run and gun fast paced like quake and counterstrike, cover based such as gears of war and then there are more tactical such as rainbow six. the conduit blends all of these quite well (though it leans more towards run and gun than tactical) along with newer and more innovative mechanics

None of that post makes any sense. It's fully of contradictions (the same, but different. different, but the same). You made absolutely no sense. Try to reorganize your thoughts and try again.

So... what would this shooter be like? The shooters you mentioned have several basic things in common (guns, you are the guy shooting, other people are shooting at you), and those things make them shooters. I'm not exactly sure what could be changed to make them different yet still shooters.
