But as i said </b> formatting works but the ones with [] don't. (Also can someone tell me the difference?)

Re: Unusual problems on forums BBCode ([]) formatting is just used by the posters, not the browser itself. the BBCode is translated into HTML (<>) by the software behind the forum, and the HTML is displayed by your browser. Have you tried nuking configs yet?
