Re: Call Of Duty 7: Black Ops
The thing that really annoys me is how overpowered the choppers are, especially in hardcore. And the RC-XD makes me rage.

What Lizard says. If you're a halfway decent player and you play on ante-up, you can go entire games without dying once. Higher levels, not so much.

Re: Call Of Duty 7: Black Ops
Well I meant compared to MW2 with the PP2000 and the Spas12. Actually not so much those, really. I used pistols extensively in MW2, probably like 1500-2000 kills in pistols, and I was a big advocate of using pistols on every class for the quick swap.
I guess the problem is a combination of the slower switch times, the lack of Stopping Power (no SP makes reflexes less able to compensate for low DPS), the semi auto lockup, and Trey's terribad hit detection. Or maybe it's just me. TBH I feel like I can just scope in and shoot someone before my pistol will get around to dropping them, and in cases where it is enough firepower, it locks up. Maybe I should try akimbo. Not too long ago I thought sniping was completely obsolete but I actually prefer sniping on some maps.
Also, do you really have success with the Ballistic Knife, like actually shooting it? I can't hit a damn thing with it.
@Coop: Nice. Is there really expensive stuff you can buy?

Re: Call Of Duty 7: Black Ops
Yeah, it is possible. But the massive speed increase and incredibly fast attack recovery is insane for meleeing.

Re: Call Of Duty 7: Black Ops
It's awesome together with scavenger. Don't hit nobody? No problem, just knife em, get new knife. The flying knife + knife can kill multiple people at once if you're good with it. Btw you get last stand kills with it if you're downed just as you fire it.

Re: Call Of Duty 7: Black Ops
It seems that no one has taken advantage of the B. Kinfe just yet but it is quite the beast of a weapon. Possibly why its the last weapon in gungame. Other than that, me and Contrary were sniping the other day and we managed to rack up atleast 10 kills (Well I did) camping in the same spot before someone had the braincell to get us.
Sniping in the game is just as feasible as in MW2 or any other of the COD games, just you need to get that exact pinpoint crosspoint right on them which can be a difficult thing.
Also Contrary, I think the most expensive thing is about 3000 Cod points.

Re: Call Of Duty 7: Black Ops
I played a game splitscreen online at my friends house, and my third friend counted 10+ L96 hitmarkers from direct chest hits. Probably an equal mix of random handshots and Second Chance. What bull♥♥♥♥. I still went like 1.5 KD, though I would have done monumentally better if those were actual kills, especially considering many of those were do-or-die close range "quick" scopes.

Re: Call Of Duty 7: Black Ops
I just stick with Full-Auto CZ75's as my seacondaries. It's also dang hartd to get pro perks. I'm level 50 and I only have 3 Pro perks, Ghost, Sleight of hand, and War Lord. It was worth getting those, though, especially ghost.

Re: Call Of Duty 7: Black Ops
Thanks Allstone. I did this one at 1:00 in the morning so it's kind of boring. I'm also not sure how to be in it. I'm either completely slow and chill or manic hyper.
High End Noob: I'd advise against Full Auto. It reduces the maximum damage from 40 to 20 and it fires slower than a person could do manually. It has less idle spread but that's pretty trivial next to the dps you're losing. I guess it could be useful if you don't tap very fast.
The Pro Perks aren't too hard but you have to unlock them very deliberately and structure your classes for them. For example Tactical Mask Pro (kills 20 people after flashing them, kill 20 people after stunning them, kill 20 people after gassing them) is a nightmare with a normal setup... But can be done in one or two games if you have Scavenger and Warlord Pro. Scavenger and Warlord Pro are difficult as well- unless you play an objective game on Nuketown. Then you can do all the grenade related challenges in one game. I've been at 50 for awhile and I have all the Pro Perks.
