Google it. Also try going into debug mode- hold the power button to turn it in, keep holding until it turns off, then turn it on again while holding the power button, let go after you hear rapid beeping and follow the instructions to access the debugging menu. Trying using Restore File System and Rebuild Database, see if that does anything. If you're still under warranty, ship it off to Sony. If you're not under warranty and the two previous debugs don't work, use Restore PS3 System as a last resort- this will delete all your data, including save files, so only use it if absolutely necessary!

Reading through this topic without reading the dates made me think your PS3 broke days after you got it..
I thought the Xbox 360 was the only console with a 'major' problem?

OT: I had my 2007 release Xbox 360 for about two years, give or take, before it red ringed and I got repaired, was fine until I brought it back to England and it never worked again,
even after hours of tinkering with its insides, using ArctiClean and whatnot, oh well Xbox 360 slim now and that works fine, for now, my PC still rules in this household though

Newer XBOXes don't get the RRoD AFAIK, which is nice because mine is a newer one.
I really want a PS3, considering the only games I play on Xbox are on PS3 also. (with the exception of a few I've beaten/don't play anymore. Like Fez, or some other XBLA games) HD quality, cool exclusives, Blu-Ray movies, BUILT IN WEB BROWSER (yes i know xbox is getting IE BUT ♥♥♥♥ IE MICROSOFT YOU SELF-LOVING BASTARD COMPANY YOU SHOULD'VE USED FIREFOX OR CHROME AAAAAAAAAAAAA) and some other nice stuff.
I probably won't get a PS3 tho. Too expensive for now, and I don't need it. Maybe I'll get a PS4 or whatever Sony makes next, but for now I'm happy with computers and XBOXes

PS3's have more exclusives, and free online.
If I were a console person, I'd go with PS3.
Most games on the Xbox360 can be found on the PS3 or PC.
Also, everybody kind of forgets about the Wii. It has a lot of unique exclusive gems, even more exclusive gems than PS3, but not as many are as well made as say, Dark Souls.

I really wish I never got rid of my Nintendo ♥♥♥♥. I want to play DS and Wii and all that.

Wii is best console. I don't have an Xbox or a PS3, because I don't want one.

So yesterday I played forza 4 at my friends place and now I want an xbox. Which is quite achievable since he can get me one for about 125 bucks, game included, with one year warranty.

So yeah, David completely decimated his PS3. And he may not be getting a replacement.
Because he is a jerk.

In other news, Doesn't PS3 use an IE API as it's web browser?
