If you downloaded and installed new mods restart the game. You can run game in skirmish mode and check for new actors and weapons to make sure that you installed the mods properly. More than one actor in a cell means that UL can't create actor for some reason.

Since I had problems with the Bear Federation faction when I tried to install it, I removed it, and now everything is fine. Thanks for your help.

Also, I am experiencing incredible lag whenever an attack occurs. like unplayable amounts of lag

warhammer651, abandon? You can just start new game at any time, the old one will be overwritten. Unless you don't get any errors in console (~-key) heavy lag means that you might need a better CPU

Except I don't seem to be able to. when I exit out, go back to Scenario Battles, and select Unmapped Lands it just resumes the game.
The lag seems to have stopped for whatever reason.

Warhammer 651, you need to go to load game, and start new campaign there. Or delete \CampaignData\current.dat and restart UL.

Weegee, I have a suggestion to you. Remember that voice sound problem we talked about? I think I found a way to fix it, what if you instead of creating an emitter (which isn't the best way since volume changed according to camera position etc etc etc) you played that voice sound as if it was Music? I know that in that case, you'd have to disable the real music but I personally would love an option to change between crappy voice sounds with music and good voice sounds with no music. (I always listen to an external music player anyway) Ofsorse if that's not too difficult to do.
P.S. In return I can draw you some extra icons if you want
P.P.S. What's with several new accounts having exactly the same faction problem but not bothering to read the thread?

I think I've finally tracked down the problem with the 40K drop pods being unreliable on certain UnmappedLands maps that had much smaller/greater width/height than normal scenes, and it will be fixed for the next version.

Hello! I am using this mod on a Mac, with other mods, including DarkStorm Military Technologies. I am only able to play the three default factions, not any of the mod factions. Only the Ronin, Coalition and Dummies show up. I have DarkStorm installed, but it doesn't show up. Do I need to have all the mod factions installed? Is it because I'm on a Mac? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

This is happening to me also and Im on a PC. Maybe try reinstalling it (aka redownloading the rar and reunpack it)

Simply installing the factions isn't enough. Once they're installed, you need to go into UnmappedLands.rte/Factions/Factions.cfg with a text editor, and remove the * preceeding any faction you want to enable. You can disable factions by putting a * in front of them again.

So hey, remember when I said I meant to finish that House of Suns file? Yeah, I kinda forgot. And then I did it just now! Twice, even!
Even better, I threw in SnowMonster's Lizards as four "factions". Take in mind you must have the elite/brain lizards (Sage.rte) and the lizard weapons (Lizard Weapons.rte) unpacked regardless of which subfaction (Black/Blue/Green/All) you're using.
It turns out they're all kind of unstable though (brain/elite duplication bug), and I'm not exactly sure why, probably making another dumb mistake somewhere. The Lizard heavies also don't spawn with any weapons, so this may be a problem for the THS MK IIIs as well. I haven't had time to test them all.
Factions;
House of Suns House Guard Pray that you do not have to fight the House Guard. Their common soldiers are not much stronger than the Coalition, but they have very nasty Drone/Walker backup in the form of Krupp APLA and Bison drones. Make sure you pack anti-armour weapons.
House of Suns Mechanical Infantry Using only MKI, MKII, MKIII and MKIV drones, the Mechanical Infantry are regarded as... expendable. They're still fairly well-equipped, mind you, so don't underestimate them. The bulk of their forces are the MKI, MKII and MKIV, with the MKIII as heavy fire support.
Lizard Expeditionary Task Force The Greens might not be as tough as the other clans, but they're just the start. Expect to face Runners, Tri Horns and Prowlers, with the occasional green Thunder Thrash Scout as heavy support. They're lead by Runner Elites.
Thunder Thrash Clan The main bulk of the Lizard forces, the Thunder Thrash Clan is not much better equipped than the Expeditionary Task Force, but are supposedly better armoured and better trained. Easily ID'd by their blue armour. Lead by Prowler Elites.
Lizard Elite Forces Some underestimate the seemingly unarmoured Blacks. They do so at their own peril, as the Black Elites are easily as well protected as their blue and green kin. Lead by Tri Horn Elites.
Unified Lizard Armed Forces Lead by Tri Horn Elites. Expect to face greens, blues and blacks in an unpredictable mix. Have fun!

Finally, the download. Stick it in your UnmappedLands.rte folder and unpack. I haven't tested them yet or set up custom voices - recommend C&C3 Scrin or Protoss for the Lizard factions, and one of the C&C voice sets for the THS groups. (Possibly EVA for the House Guard, and CABAL/LEGION for the Mech Inf.)

The Lizards have pretty lame map icons for now. I've got my hands full with the next version of the 40K recompilation and real life, so someone might want to make better ones.
